Career Advice

Musical Theatre

  • “Hadestown” by Anaïs Mitchell. A sung-through American folk-inspired emotional journey. It won 8 Tony Awards and they’re all deserved.
  • Everything by Dave Malloy, but particularly “Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812”, “Preludes” and “Three Houses”.

Apps/Tools

  • Obsidian, Notion and Trello (deprecated) for note-taking.
  • Beeper for combining all my message apps.
  • Super Productivity for task management. It has scheduling, time tracking, categories, boards. Everything I need.

Technology

  • Ruby on Rails - Still the most developer-friendly web framework out there.
  • astro.build - What I used for this website. Light and simple.
  • Kamal - Massively simplify your deployments.
  • Omakub - Great developer setup for Ubuntu 24.04+
  • Cline - Autonomous coding agent for Visual Studio Code
